I oppose the proposed merger for two reasons:
Both the European Bee-eater and Blue-cheeked Bee-eater have ranges in which Britain is no more than peripheral. Merging sections of this article into the species' pages would give disproportionate weight to a single (and, in this context, exceedingly minor) locality.
The current article discusses something that would be lost by separating sections to different pages, namely the occurrence in Britain of bee-eaters in general.
