Copy Edit edit

Did some work, rephrased most of the article. Took off the copyedit tag as it is no longer needed. If it still needs work, please put it back up.

Bias in the section on the first game? edit

The section about the first Dark Alliance game has sentences like "The graphics, in particular, are considered the only highlight of the game by many critics" and an over all negative tone on the game. I have never played it, but what I have found was that the game mostly had positive reviews. The Critical reception section in the game's article says: "Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance received generally favorable reviews; Metacritic has an average score of 87% based on 29 reviews for the PlayStation 2 version and the Xbox version received an average score of 83% based on 25 reviews." In several of the Baldur's Gate, Forgotten Realms and D&D related articles the Dark Alliance games are painted out as having been panned by critics and being generally considered to be flops, but as far as I can see most reviewers though they were good games, though only a few gave them great ratings. I get the impression that someone who personally dislikes the games have written or edited the articles to reflect his personal opinion. This sentence, very similar to the one above appears in the game's own article: "The graphics, in particular, were considered a highlight of the game by many critics". That looks like a more factual and neutral way to write it, it seems someone changed "a highlight" to "the only highlight". 213.89.251.44 (talk) 02:48, 21 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Major Merger Needed edit

Baldur's Gate and Dark Alliance. Same Series Or Different? Argueably, Dark Alliance isn't the same series. Argueably, it is. Argueably, it is part of the same series but in a Raving Rabbids Spin-Off Series approach. Which one, like either it being part of the same series or being a spin-off series. So it is part of the same series. So what if they have different and unrelated plots. Baldur's Gate III was never released and likely it would have been stopping Eldrith in her backstory and continuing Adrian Abdens story as well. So why is there a seperate article for Dark Alliance. They are part of the same series and Dark Alliance III was canceled. That could have had references to the Bhaalspawn Saga. Lets merge the Dark Alliance Series Article and The Baldur's Gate Series Article into just a Baldur's Gate series article. I have made some changes to this article so that it includes Dark Alliance III. So let's merge these two articles. --Schmeater (talk) 01:57, 13 February 2011 (UTC)Reply
