Ridiculously USA-centric edit
Are the authors of this post even aware of how US-centric the tone and content of this post is? It's described as if it's some kind of global phenomenon, but not only are all the incidents listed from the US, the assumptions here are ridiculous. If it was a global phenomenon, would there really be enough owners of outdoor manger scenes who have the money, satellite access, and regular electricity to power lighting for an outdoor manger scene, let alone these apparently very prevalent GPS tracking systems and surveillance cameras this article implies have been deployed everywhere? Is this really noteworthy? edit
While likely an annoying phenomenon if your Jesus figurine has dollar and/or spiritual value to you... does this really deserve a Wikipedia article? Consider a merge? edit
I know a lot of people are considering that this article should be deleted, but as far as the Christian movement goes, I know of a few who were greatly affected by it religiously. Is there a way that instead of this being deleted, could it possibly be merged with another article just as a small mention that pertains to that subject? Maybe combine it with the nativity scene page as a small section that pertains to "conflicts against the nativity" or something along those lines? Massive POV problems edit
Frequent unsupported references to the actions of anti-christian groups give this article a strong pro-christian bias. Even linking to the wiki article for a serious such group would be a start; showing that groups trying to "take the christ out of christmas" even exist, let alone could be responsible, would be even better.A Pedant (talk) 11:49, 25 December 2010 (UTC)
Ramona Pageant edit

Rename to "Nativity scene theft"? edit
The baby Jesus figures are the most common target of theft, but people often seem to steal other elements or entire scenes. In the UK, "nativity scene theft" seems to be a more common phrase, and it strikes me as a slightly more neutral title. – SJ + 02:48, 26 December 2022 (UTC)
