Babe should have her own page. She's been involved in two reasonable big storylines and has been in EastEnders for almost 2 years. Time for change. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Cindy's Cafe (talkcontribs) 23:55, 8 October 2015 (UTC)Reply

As the list entry currently stands, there's not enough to warrent it being split off. Being in storylines and in the show for 2 years isn't what's important - it's reliable, independent sources. The article needs to be written first. –anemoneprojectors08:07, 9 October 2015 (UTC)Reply
She now has an article. anemoneprojectors 17:39, 10 April 2017 (UTC)Reply

Soaplife issue 378

Here are some potentially relevant quotes from Annette Badland:

(How's Babe feeling about the rift she's opened up with the Carter?) "She's not sure where she stands, but she's desperate to get back insude the family. She loves Mick so much she wants to be around him. Linda and Mick have hurt her and you mustn't do that... Babe can get very upset!"

(Does she regret urging Abi to lie about being pregnant by Lee Carter?) "Yes. She got a bit over-enthusiastic and she gave her bad advice. Babe saw herself in Abi and she really wanted to help her."

(If Babe survives the attack, do you think things will ever be the same for her and the Carter family?) "Although it might appear on the surface the Carters have forgiven her for playing a part in Abi's fake pregnancy lie and encouraging her to sleep with Lee, there could be repercussions further down the line."

Also, the interviewer wrote "She may rustle up a mean trifle, but you'll pay the price if you get on the wrong side of Aunt Babe Smith. Just ask Abi Branning!"

Inside Soap issue 30 2016

Similarly, from the Inside Soap interview from issue 30 in 2016, Badland said "I'd love to do scenes with Steve McFadden. I have wondered whether Babe could be a mechanic! I think she fixes her own car, you see, so I reckon she'd get her boiler suit on and go to work with Phil..." I don't know if this can or where it could be mentioned in the article. anemoneprojectors 17:10, 4 April 2017 (UTC)Reply

@AnemoneProjectors: Could that at a push be placed in "Other relationships"? Or should that be limited to on-screen relationships? Soaper1234 (talk) 17:22, 4 April 2017 (UTC)Reply
Also, in reply to your post in Abi Branning, that fits perfectly. Soaper1234 (talk) 17:24, 4 April 2017 (UTC)Reply
I wondered about characterisation, taking out the line "I'd love to do scenes with Steve McFadden" or at least rearranging it so that goes to the end? I can't remember if we've written anything about her car. I was stupid that I never photographed it at the meet and greet! It was there! anemoneprojectors 18:42, 4 April 2017 (UTC)Reply
That is a shame about not getting an image. I can only imagine it was a brilliant day regardless. I don't think there is any development about the car but I had a line of reception about it. That's not a bad idea about putting it in characterisation. I placed in other relationships before I saw this, but feel free to move it. Soaper1234 (talk) 19:17, 4 April 2017 (UTC)Reply
Soaplife issue 381

Soaplife, issue 381, 21 May - 3 June 2016, page 23, has an article titled "I've got you, Babe"! about when Pam realises Babe is the blackmailer and tries to find evidence. There is a single quote from Badland, "Babe, too, has been desperate. She feels she's always on the periphery of life, always one step away from the centre." I'm not sure where this fits in at the moment, but just before it the reporter says "But, in a way, it's Babe's own desperation that makes her the monster of the woman she is..." They also use these words in the article: "twisted witch", "nasty scheme" (the blackmail), "devious little woman", "ruthless". Also, that Pam can't appeal to Babe's better nature because "She doesn't have one so that will get Pam absolutely nowhere." anemoneprojectors 17:18, 4 April 2017 (UTC)Reply
