So why isnt this terrorism? 199.245.163.1 18:34, 22 October 2004 (UTC)

Because the attackers were drug barons motivated by profit, not terrorists fighting for a political cause. GCarty 15:21, 12 February 2006 (UTC)Reply
Nowhere in Wikipedia's definition of terrorism does it say that terrorism is necessarily politically motivated. It's a strategy, not an ideology. Apart from that, would you really say the Medellín cartel was not a political force?--84.188.184.226 18:14, 21 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

May I say that it was a terrorism attack? At least to our eyes, us Colombians. The conclusion to the investigation of this incident was it was a bomb to kill a certain politician aboard that aircraft, to which the Medellin Drug Cartel took responsabily off and even though the head of the cartel, Pablo Escobar; used to be a polititian before he got sent to jail, a drug cartel is not a political force.

Anyway, a bomb in a plane is terrorism. It should be categorized under that category. Thank you, Minako-Chan* 21:02, 17 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

PD: I hope what I have just writen is ok.

picture of the wreckage edit

I happen to have a picture of the wreckage though the source is known. Could I upload it? Minako-Chan* 22:03, 10 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

By "though the source is known", do you in fact mean "though the source is unknown"? If you do then no. If, however, you do know the source, then even if it is copyrighted, we can use it as fair use, and you can go ahead and upload. Blood Red Sandman (Talk) (Contribs) 22:11, 10 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

yeah, I mistakenly wrote "known" instead of "unknown". Sorry guys! I found the image a long time ago but i'll see if I find the source. Minako-Chan* 20:57, 17 March 2007 (UTC)Reply
