His name

I think calling him the ROSH in all capitals looks weird and is not standard practice. It is true that the name is an acronym in Hebrew, רא"ש, but it isn't normal to use all caps for it in English. See for instance the article on the Ramban, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nachmanides, also an acronym. And indeed this article is not consistent. Probably we should make it Rosh throughout. Very bad article

No mention of his Anti-Zohar stand. The comment about Caro using him is misleading. Caro writes that the Shulchan Aruch was written to bring peace amoungst the three main communities gathering in Israel. Those that originally where there - the Maimonideans - and the exiles of Spain and Ashkenazi - the Rosh and the Rif. 77.124.20.62 (talk) 17:18, 10 December 2007 (UTC)

The article is not bad. It could use some improvement. For example, noting his importance in his sons' works. Also, it would be nice to have the same preceeded by and followed by in Jewish rabbis as appears with members of the nobility. Removed comment about the Rif

The article said that the work of the Rosh "superseded Alfasi's". That isn't right: both are still printed in standard Talmud's, especially because the Rif's work is printed along with other commentaries on it like the Ran and the Nimukei Yosef, the Baal Hamaor and the Milchamot Hashem. The Rosh's work did become important quickly, that part is correct. I removed the incorrect phrase in the middle. MikeR613 (talk) 04:49, 3 December 2021 (UTC)
