Talk:The Revelation in Storm and Thunder

Churches and banned books

edit

Hello, there are parts of the text that I chose not to link because of their ambiguity. My reading of the text is that the Russian Orthodox Church would have been the church most likely to object to this thesis, but I don't see how it would have been able to get something listed on the Index Librorum Prohibitorum (my best guess for the index in the article) because the index was produced by the Catholic Church. The part about the Zodiac signs is nonsense. Sagittarius shouldn't be there at all. Eagle is associated with Scorpio. The Bible lists the 4 Fixed Signs, basically: Taurus the bull, Leo the Lion, Scorpio the Scorpion (Eagle), Aquarius the Water-bearer (the man). These aren't the Signs of the seasons, and never were. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.29.181.180 (talk) 05:27, 15 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

Apocalypse of John – dated astronomicallyThe Revelation in Storm and Thunder – I couldn't figure out where the current article name comes from. It isn't a translation of either the German nor the Russian title, and it doesn't seem to produce any search engine hits beyond Wikipedia mirrors. I've suggested the translation from the Russian name since the author is Russian and this translation appears in our article on him. DaßWölf 02:21, 5 November 2018 (UTC)Reply

  • Weak Support I'd feel better if there were any English-language source, but we should default to a translation of the original Russian title rather than a translation of the German translation's title. power~enwiki (π, ν) 02:07, 8 November 2018 (UTC)Reply
