He was appointed Archbishop of Goa on 4 August 1881, and ordained bishop on 25 September 1881.

something is wrong with this -- you don't get to be an archbishop until you already are a bishop. I think this mistake is also in the Portugese so fixing this will require research. Elinruby (talk) 12:13, 10 May 2017 (UTC)
