As of this morning (2 April 2018), the information in the final paragraph is incorrect on several points and based on conflicting articles. According to obituaries in the New York Times, Boston Globe, etc., Anita Shreve had only two children, both by her ex-husband, John Clemans, and no children by her husband, John Osborn. These conflicts in the bio and referenced articles are no doubt caused by both men having the same given name.
Based on most sources, the following statements in the bio are incorrect:
1.) At aged 21, her first marriage was to John Clemans, her childhood sweetheart ... [He was not her first marriage and not her childhood sweetheart.]
2.) She was married for the third time in 1998 to John Osborne, an insurance broker until her death. They had one son, John. [There was no son named John; all their children came from previous marriages.]
