Redundant mention of versions
editI don't understand why the John Denver version need be included in the "Other Recorded Versions" list section when Denver's recording is already mentioned in the text section headed "Other Recorded Versions". I deleted Denver's version from the former with an explanation on November 7 2011 - & a non-logged in editor added it back December 5. Of course it's not a major issue having one version of the song mentioned twice but I am going to delete the Denver version from the list again.--Cherrylimerickey (talk) 20:12, 5 January 2013 (UTC)
Not sure why but there seems to be an issue with versions already mentioned in the article's text being cited in the list: I've recently deleted the double mention of the John Denver version - for the second time - & now the Kristen Stewart version from Out of the Wild has been added to the list despite already being referenced in the text. Again it's not a major issue but as Wikipedia prefers info to be incorporated into an article's text rather than presented in a list format I'd like to encourage editors to check the entire article before adding to the Other Versions list - actually it's always a good idea to read an article carefully before editing it.--Cherrylimerickey (talk) 00:31, 11 January 2013 (UTC)
- Many users actually want to check a fact such as how many cover versions and performed by whom. Having it in paragraph style makes it like searching a needle in a haystack full of adjectives and verbs and grammar, when we just want the facts. It's the difference between "Colors used: blue, red, orange." which delivers the facts, and "One color that was used was blue. Some years later a color red, in a crimson hue was also used. In a turn of events, a later use of orange occurred.". Lists don't clog up the information a reader is seeking here. Furthermore... why isn't the cover version by Leslie Spit Tree-o mentioned here? It was a big hit in Canada in the 1990's. 50.46.9.120 (talk) 19:53, 8 August 2024 (UTC)Dude
Published Versions section?
editIs this section appropriate for a Wikipedia article? Not saying it's a big deal but as it is preferred that Wikipedia articles be as focused as possible this section does seem to be especially superfluous as it links to an article on a fake book which has no especial relevance to Angel From Montgomery the song rather being simply one of 1200 songs contained therein.--Cherrylimerickey (talk) 00:21, 11 January 2013 (UTC)

Hello fellow wikipedians.
There is a statement that Cameo sings this song. I see no reference for this. Should this be removed? Mediaglyphic (talk) 04:56, 29 July 2018 (UTC)
