Help, Please! With Title
editI am the subject of this Article and the title needs to be changed for serious reasons. My original Wikipedia was under just Amy Hayes and now this has my entire birth name and says American Model?
- Problem is, No one knows me by this name and its in conflict with all search engines.
- No one recognizes Amy Faye Hayes nor do they search for me under my entire birth name.
- doesn't return any relevant results if anyone uses it to search for me.
- there is only one other Amy Hayes on here who chooses to be known by her entire birth name as she is an actress.
The well intended person that nominated this Article did not realize the challenges posting under a birth name would cause and is no longer actively participating here.
I see that a change can be made and I also have many useful links, citations to add. I also can help make the article more accurate.
- Are there Any moderators, or contributors who would be willing to assist me?
Why I need Urgent Help, please I am being inducted into the National Boxing Hall of Fame this April and this Wikipedia caused confusion for them for the above reasons. shows up in google as a name and title that does not accurately reflect my biography or likeness either! .Thank you all very much for considering my request for HELP. Thank you for all the contributions - thank u for the presence on Wikipedia both back when it was just Amy Hayes Ring Announcer & model. The first Article stayed up for many, many years and was only removed during a domestic situation where the other party kept making edits. Wikipedia cited "Vandalism" as the reason. Based on the policy of Wikipedia, I see Changing or moving the Title is within reason and is done. Help, please HOF2019 (talk) 11:25, 10 February 2019 (UTC)
- @HOF2019: The article is currently named "Amy Hayes (announcer)". This is in keeping with Wikipedia's naming conventions, because there is a collision at the Amy Hayes title. There are three things that need to be determined before this page could be moved to that title:
- Is the announcer the primary subject that people are looking for when they search for "Amy Hayes"? If not, the title should stay disambiguated.
- Does the current Amy Hayes page need moved to Amy Hayes (disambiguation), or can it be deleted because there are only two Amy Hayeses?
- Should there be a hatnote in this article pointing people to the other one? My take on that matter is yes, we need a line at the top saying "For the British actress, see Amy Beth Hayes."
- Also, the earlier version of the article I saw was deleted because of lack of independent references.
- Finally, because you have declared a conflict of interest, you should not edit the article directly. Instead, you must request any changes here on the talk page. Independent editors can evaluate the sources and make the changes if appropriate. —C.Fred (talk) 01:50, 12 February 2019 (UTC)
