Talk:Alfred Gabriel Nathorst

Nobody mentioned his central role in uncovering human history? edit

I am not a biologist, so hesitate to edit the original text. But it seems from this document[1] that Nathorst coined the term "Dryas" (after the famous plant) for the inter glacial period. This was the key that opened the door to reconstructing a detailed climate history. Later researchers showed that the rapid cooling and warming of the "Younger Dryas" probably led to the rise of farming.

As I said, I am no expert: as a result, my edits to Wikipedia normally get deleted. So I'm writing it here because, if it's true about his role in the Dryas, somebody needs to say something! 86.137.79.137 (talk) 13:13, 28 March 2018 (UTC)Reply
