Discography: Unverified Release Dates edit

It's very hard to determine the release dates of some of the songs listed since every single site I visit has a contradicting date. Not to mention that with YouTube's Audio Swap system, old videos can have new music so that's not a reliable method of verifying the release date of a given song. I cannot find Dreamscape being released anywhere in 2006 but I have found on Archive.org that it was seen as early as Jan 4th 2007. That said, the entry on Archive.org was submitted in 2015. I presume the site simply has a bot to scrape data from another site (in this case YouTube), and as I've mentioned before, the audio could've been swapped so it's not as reliable as I hoped. On the publishers website, they list the song as being released as early as December 17th, 2009; however, Spotify shows that the song was included in the Track One Recordings, Vol. 1 album in 2008. And this is for just one song. I can only imagine all of the others. Could someone please verify the release dates for these songs? I've been at it for a good few hours and cannot find any reliable source. Drirton (talk) 08:20, 6 June 2019 (UTC)Reply

Citation needed edit

While I respect the point Jheiv made about it being unnecessary to remove a reference just because a better one is needed, I should point out that this "reference" is entirely composed of a music video caption with the words:

"Alexander Perls Songs specializes in creating timeless lyrics and hit vocal performances for the cutting edge of dance music.
Alexander Perls’ catalog stretches back to 1998, and contains more than twenty top-40 pop hits, in nearly every country in Europe."

This does not pass as a reference. Larryisgood (talk) 00:13, 25 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

the "youtube song" edit

Born To Be Wasted is the song that Youtube automatically puts in when there is a music copyright violation. Kind of noteworthy... Everyone alive can immediately identify the first 10 seconds of the song, haha.Skiendog (talk) 07:39, 21 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

With a Spirit is the song that shows up the most on YouTube videos with substituted audio, more so that Born To Be Wasted, and is the main reason a video isn't watched. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 157.89.91.168 (talk) 19:29, 31 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

Popularity of "Dreamscape" edit

"His song "Dreamscape" has been dubbed "YouTube's National Anthem" by his own recording company due to its popularity as background music in YouTube videos."

I think this should be altered to reflect the fact that it's mainly popular because it is the first selection on the list of royalty free music available to YouTube videos, and videos defaulted to this when the sound was removed for copyright or other reasons. Similar to how companies used to name themselves "AAA Services" in order to get the top listing in the yellow pages in their respective category. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Lakers44449 (talkcontribs) 00:36, 12 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

Source for film edit

The bottom of the page says he was involved with a film, but there's no citation. Anyone know where this info could've come from? — Preceding unsigned comment added by MantleM (talkcontribs) 01:35, 9 November 2019 (UTC)Reply

No mention of - Killer with a thousand faces ... edit

So I guess I must be in the minority who appreciates this

Listened to DreamScape and while I appreciate it, IMO it is not that removed from citing (and therefore including in this wiki entry) either as part of this gentlemen's works. Just saying .. - — Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.252.76.29 (talk) 01:26, 9 May 2020 (UTC)Reply
