This article is one of thousands on Wikipedia that have a link to YouTube in it. Based on the External links policy, most of these should probably be removed. I'm putting this message here, on this talk page, to request the regular editors take a look at the link and make sure it doesn't violate policy. In short: 1. 99% of the time YouTube should not be used as a source. 2. We must not link to material that violates someones copyright. If you are not sure if the link on this article should be removed, feel free to ask me on my talk page and I'll review it personally. Thanks. ---J.S (t|c) 07:51, 7 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Acting Comptroller

edit

Jack Chartier is not acting Comptroller, First Deputy Comptroller Tom Sanzillo is Acting COmptroller.(http://www.thejournalnews.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20061223/NEWS05/612230347/1021)

No way is this neutral

edit

The article seems to go out of its way to attack Hevisi, particularly with its use of weasel words in the marked section. It should be possible to write an article that describes the accepted facts without resorting to the constant negative tone. Jaysbro (talk) 22:25, 1 January 2007 (UTC).Reply

I agree. The article has major NPOV and balance issues and is in serious need of a substantial rewrite. Regards, Nsk92 (talk) 10:50, 13 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
I am concerned about the excessive emphasis of the recent controversy in the lead section; admittedly, this is how I know who he is, but still, let's keep it in perspective. Crystal whacker (talk) 01:57, 16 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

This is March 24, 2010. There have been recent newspaper articles re. AH and his continuing legal problems. Someone should bring us up to date ! Cognoscente18 (talk) 03:48, 25 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Merging Nicholas Acquafredda into this page

edit

I'm suggesting that Nicholas Acquafredda gets merged into this page, because he lacks notability independent of being a hired driver for Hevesi's wife. --otherlleft 16:57, 15 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

What is not neutral?

edit

The man has a long history of corruption, and is now in jail. If anyone had anything nice to say about him, they would have done so by now. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Toothis (talkcontribs) 14:48, 20 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

removing POV tag with no active discussion per Template:POV

edit

I've removed an old neutrality tag from this page that appears to have no active discussion per the instructions at Template:POV:

This template is not meant to be a permanent resident on any article. Remove this template whenever:
  1. There is consensus on the talkpage or the NPOV Noticeboard that the issue has been resolved
  2. It is not clear what the neutrality issue is, and no satisfactory explanation has been given
  3. In the absence of any discussion, or if the discussion has become dormant.

Since there's no evidence of ongoing discussion, I'm removing the tag for now. If discussion is continuing and I've failed to see it, however, please feel free to restore the template and continue to address the issues. Thanks to everybody working on this one! -- Khazar2 (talk) 14:29, 15 June 2013 (UTC)Reply

Please note that the two images on Commons that are supposedly of Hevesi (File:Alan Hevesi.jpeg and File:Alan Hevesi crop.jpeg) are not actually of him and should not be added to the article. Hevesi looks like this and is clearly note the same person; note e.g. that unlike the individual portrayed in the Commons images, he has blue, and not brown, eyes.
