Article title
editI've once again moved this page from "Al Davis (politician)" to "Al Davis (Nebraska politician)".
It's a bit hard to Google-search for pols named "Al Davis", since the search terms have to be sufficiently specific to keep the results from being swamped with Al Davis, American football coach. It appears that the Nebraska legislator is currently the only significant officeholder of that name. However, we should anticipate the possibility that another Al Davis will be attain notability as an elected official. According to whitepages.com, there are 430 people in the United States alone with that name, so it's not all that unusual. I found a reference to a "longtime Harris County [Texas] Republican Party activist" of the name, who apparently never held elected office but whose endorsement was sought in a Houston city council election (link).
Insufficiently specific names have caused headaches for me in the past: when I launched an article on another Nebraska legislator, Matt Williams (Nebraska politician), I had to move an Australian pol from "Matt Williams (politician)" to "Matt Williams (Australian politician)". The page move wasn't hard, but I had to change all the Wikilinks to the Australian so that I could convert Matt Williams (politician) to a dab page. By giving this article the more specific name, we make life easier for future editors if and when another pol named Al Davis attains notability. — Ammodramus (talk) 03:58, 4 September 2015 (UTC)
