Billion page views -- math doesn't work edit

If a billion page views were spread over a *day*, that would be 1000000000/86400 = 11,574 hits a second. For 24 hours, continuously. If a million fans signed up as the promoter claimed, each would have to have hit the site a thousand times.

I can understand how quite a few hits could come in as users furiously reload the page waiting for the moment when the lottery becomes accessible, or something like that, but a billion hits can't be an accurate number. Information that's clearly inaccurate won't do even if you can find a citation where someone claims it. I'm going to say in the article that the claim probably isn't true, and hopefully not watch the fireworks fly.

Also, the claim came from the promoter, who'd tend to embellish things.75.24.107.36 (talk) 06:39, 8 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

While I agree the 1 billion claim is circumspect, we cannot editorialise or post OR no matter how unlikely a claim is. However it's generally accepted that we don't have to mention every wacky claim someone has made so I just removed the claim completely. Nil Einne (talk) 09:59, 8 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
I'm the person who originally posted this argument (possibly at a different IP), and FYI I'm fine w/this resolution. I had really wanted to remove the claim myself.75.24.215.16 (talk) 08:54, 9 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Intro paragraph edit

Just a tiny complaint or two. First I think the intro to the article should read something along the lines of being a benefit concert headlined by Led Zeppelin. Second, that was Led Zeppelin performing. Anybody can argue all they want that it isn't Zep without John Bonham present, but the screen said Led Zeppelin, the tickets said Led Zeppelin, etc. If we're gonna argue that, than Lynyrd Skynyrd isn't Lynyrd Skynyrd anymore. Thanks. --Bluorangefyre (talk) 23:01, 10 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Correct Infobox? edit

Ahmet Ertegun Tribute Concert
Concert by Led Zeppelin
LocationThe O2, London
Start dateDecember 10, 2007
End dateDecember 10, 2007
Legs1
No. of shows1
Led Zeppelin concert chronology
Ahmet Ertegün Tribute Concert
Benefit concert by Led Zeppelin
Led Zeppelin concert chronology

The top infobox is the current infobox which gives Information about a Tour. Whereas the one underneath is the one I have just made which gives information about a single concert rather than a tour. Because it wasn't a tour. What do you think? If I don't recieve any replies within a week then I will change it myself. tsunamishadow (talk) 10:44, 10 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

Last Album? edit

You have In Through the Outdoor listed as the band's last album, however, I believe the last album was Coda. Coda contained new material, albeit posthumous to Bonham's death. The Coda album did contain new contributions from Bonham so technically this was Zeppelin's last album?

Of interest is that after Bonham's death, Zeppelin still owed their record company one final album. In the book Magus Music Man, the author, George Case, notes that Jimmy Page didn't want to do this album, calling the request (demand?) "disgusting" in light of the drummers demise. However, Page was vetoed by Plant and so Coda.[1]
