I wouldn't agree with this- many instruments have travelled from Africa and have evolved or been modified in new countries... Keping a link between the two pages is obviously sensible, but to delete the gankogui article altogether seems wrong... Boyderlam (talk) 17:58, 25 January 2010 (UTC)
Agogo is a modern term for the gankoqui. Agogo is in general usage in S America referring to the industrially produced double bell. Gankoqui is in general use for the Traditional hand made African bell. Different things, different countries, different uses different playing style. I suggest the above section may be Added to the page, as a child i was taught to play with a beater and to hit the end, but I have no references or Citations for this knowledge, Does anybody else have more information? hannah (talk) 14:06, 30 January 2010 (UTC)
