Overall: For the main hook, it seems that the men's run was in rain, but the women's was only delayed, not exactly in the rain, let alone "in heavy rain". Otherwise, the article text needs updating. ALT1 is fine. —Bagumba (talk) 10:51, 18 July 2023 (UTC)
- Seems like ALT0 was wrong, the women's race was postponed until it stopped raining. Have updated article.
- ALT2: ... that the men's 100 metres event at the 2023 British Athletics Championships was run in heavy rain?
- Although that seems a little bit less interesting than ALT0. Will do QPQ within next 24 hours. Joseph2302 (talk) 15:38, 18 July 2023 (UTC)
- Also, QPQ done now: {{Did you know nominations/Christian "Chrigel" Maurer}}. Bagumba let me know if anything else is needed. Joseph2302 (talk) 16:42, 18 July 2023 (UTC)
- @Joseph2302: For ALT2, should it be "100 metres events" or "100 metres event" (singular). In the article, it says "which caused delays to the women's 100 metres event" (signular). Not sure what is the convention e.g. are there multiple heats which make it "events", or should it just be "event"?—Bagumba (talk) 11:03, 20 July 2023 (UTC)
- Event is correct, as it's specifically referring to the men's 100 metres final. There were heats that ran earlier in the day [4], but the source is specifically referring to the final. Joseph2302 (talk) 07:45, 21 July 2023 (UTC)
- ALT2 approved, as it seems slightly catchier to me that ALT1.—Bagumba (talk) 08:00, 21 July 2023 (UTC)
