Merger with 55th USCT edit
I have WP:Boldly merged this into the article on the later unit. My reasoning is that WP:MILMOS states that the last designation should be used unless the first designation is extremely well known, which is not the case here as the 1st Alabama Colored was on garrison duty while the 55th USCT did see combat.
