The article was bold move to 1989 Virginia Slims World Championship Series in year 2017 by an user. "Virginia Slims World Championship Series" may be an official name, but we don't use official name but common name. Also, the main article was located in WTA Tour.

For the source, some google book search using the term "1989 WTA Tour"
- Official Guide to Professional Tennis 2005. Sport Media Publishing. p. 386. use "1988 and 1989 WTA Tour" in the entry of Lindsay Davenport (may better to verify with offline one, as ‎Snippet preview is bad)
Despite it might suffered from recentism due to lack of online source in 1990s (the digitised archives are behind paywall, which i could only found some news article about "world championship series", lower cap phase for the era of ATP takeover as the organizer of the events, but ATP is for men's event). Google search results for "Virginia Slims World Championship Series" are mostly wiki echo.

For those reason, i would request a revert of undiscussed move first and then going to search more article for the article title. Matthew hk (talk) 17:52, 10 March 2019 (UTC)Reply
