Tenzing is an upcoming American biographical drama film of Sherpa Tenzig Norgay, starring Tom Hiddleston as Edmund Hilary.

editThe film is written by Luke Davies and directed by Jennifer Peedom, who previously helmed the 2015 documentary film Sherpa. It was originally set up at Netflix and Higher Ground Productions.[1] Produced by See-Saw Films, it is due to start filming in spring 2025.[2]
In May 2024, Tom Hiddleston was cast as Edmund Hilary and Willem Dafoe as John Hunt, Baron Hunt with Netflix and Higher Ground no longer attached.[3] That same month, it was confirmed that Apple TV+ had bought the worldwide distribution rights to the film.[4]
