F4 tornadoes


The Transylvania LA tornado also caused F4 damage in Leland, Mississippi. On January 28, an F2 tornado injured 4 people in Kailua Kona, Hawaii. On February 21 an F3 tornado killed three people Pontotoc, Mississippi and two more F3 tornadoes were confirmed on February 22 in Fayetteville, North Carolina and Grove City, Ohio. On February 23, an F2 tornado hit Centreville, Maryland (which had already been hit by one or more significant tornadoes on June 13, 1968) and on August 28, three F2 tornadoes hit Woodbine and Linwood, New Jersey and Lewes, Delaware. On July 12, an F2 tornado hit Medicine Lake, Montana. On September 16, an F3 tornado hit Central, Louisiana and on July 31, an F2 tornado hit Fayette, Maine.
