Opposed speedy move request
edit- Category:Arab women to Category:Women in the Arab world – C2D: Match the main article Women in the Arab world. --Yourexits (talk) 19:40, 5 September 2023 (UTC)
- Delete this category. Other categories by gender and ethnicity like Category:Slavic women, Category:Serb women, Category:Hausa women don't exist. Women in the Arab world is a different category scope, since that also includes many non-Arabs such as Kurds, Assyrians, Armenians, etc. living in Arab countries. - It can't be deleted at this forum. As it stands, it is a reasonable speedy rename. The category already contains nationality subcategories (that contain non-Arabs as well), so it is not a de facto change of scope. Marcocapelle (talk) 05:05, 6 September 2023 (UTC)
- Oppose and restore previous parent Category:Arab people. There was no consensus to create Category:People of the Arab world at wikipedia:Categories_for_discussion/Log/2023_August_23#Purging_nationality_categories_from_Arab_people. – Fayenatic London 06:44, 6 September 2023 (UTC)
- The latter is now at Wikipedia:Categories_for_discussion/Log/2023_September_6#Category:People_of_the_Arab_world. – Fayenatic London 08:38, 6 September 2023 (UTC)
- The latter has been relisted at Wikipedia:Categories_for_discussion/Log/2023_September_14#Category:People_of_the_Arab_world. It has been closed in favour of Category:Arab people. Marcocapelle (talk) 12:29, 23 September 2023 (UTC)
