Geography edit
Borek is located about 16 km (10 mi) northeast of Prague. It lies in a flat landscape in the Central Elbe Table. The municipality is situated on the right bank of the Elbe River. The area is rich in oxbow lakes.
History edit
Borek was founded in 1777. Between 1785 and 1848, the village was part of Křenek. Since 1848, it has been a separate municipality.[2]

Transport edit
There are no railways or major roads passing through the municipality.
In the municipal territory there is a small airport used for sport flying.
