John Powless edit

I believe this article should be rated as mid not low importance.

I personally do not think that pro tennis is the entire story of tennis.

John Powless was one of the original players caught up in tennis when pro tennis was in its developmental stages. He played pro tennis and beat the #1 player in the world at the time, John Mac Kay.

amatuer tennis is an important topic within tennis. Ken Rosewall along with many other pros started as an amatuer, and the story of amatuer tennis is intermixed with pro tennis, and is one of the important aspects.

The story of John Powless is the story of Tennis. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 206.166.83.52 (talk) 19:49, 13 August 2014 (UTC)Reply

You should probably post on Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Tennis. This subpage is watched by only a few people. I have no problem with your proposal, but I'm not really a member of this project, and my tennis knowledge is far from extensive. I'm just a gnome who helps to edit project member lists, sometimes. —PC-XT+ 03:33, 16 August 2014 (UTC)Reply
