Discussion
edit- Oppose, obviously. How can we have a WikiProject on a topic which only includes a single article? (Three if you include Bomis and Wikipedia, but they're both already covered by WikiProject Wikipedia.) Just because Wales was one of the co-founders of Wikipedia doesn't make him particularly significant to the wider readership, and certainly not enough to warrant his own "fan club" project. – iridescent 15:14, 17 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Well, we could always make separate articles about Jimbo; like maybe one on his life, or, we could try and expand the project range to fit more articles into the category. Ross Rhodes (T C) Sign! 15:36, 17 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- We have an article on his life. We have no other articles on him, nor should we. Bill Gates, Barack Obama and Pope Benedict XVI all get by without their own biographical WikiProject; a moderately successful website developer from Huntsville does not warrant his own project. Generally, the only individuals who do warrant their own project are very successful artists such as WP:WikiProject Michael Jackson, where there are vast numbers of articles to collate. A project to maintain a single article – an article which is acknowledged to be of fairly poor quality – is not necessary. – iridescent 15:54, 17 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Fair enough. Ross Rhodes (T C) Sign! 16:02, 17 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

- Oppose - Unless there are 30+ articles (and that's being lenient) directly relating to Jimbo I would say this is entirely unnecessary. — R2 13:52, 18 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Oppose. Insufficiently notable. bd2412 T 17:08, 8 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Oppose. After all, if Al Capone founded wikipedia, I'm sure you won't have an project about him. All the best, Kayau (Talk to me! See what I've done! Sign my guestbook!) 15:34, 1 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
