I want to know why my Wikipedia page was declined/not publishes? Although I have provided all live links which establish it's authenticity. I have made no exaggeration, I have merely stated facts. I am unable to understand as to why you say that it looks more like an advertisement. Please allow me to publish this page. I have also edited to keep up with the Wikipedia policy.(talk) 06:19, 15 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

You should not write about yourself. You do not meet the WP:AUTHOR requirements Legacypac (talk) 06:25, 15 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

16:26:53, 15 March 2019 review of submission by Cb912 edit

Hello, I am requesting a re-review of the article Joey Contreras because I feel as the subject meets the requirements for WP:COMPOSER. Specifically #2 for All The Kids Are Doing It. In addition in the Other section, he is "frequently covered in publications devoted to a music sub-culture". Playbill magazine as well BroadwayWorld are the two leading news outlets for the contemporary musical theatre sub-culture, and he is frequently covered and reviewed in both over the past 10 years of his career, and as recently as yesterday. Many Tony nominated actors and actresses perform on his albums and singles including Jeremy Jordan, Taylor Louderman, and Adrienne Warren. Joey has also been listed multiple times as a prominent composer in the contemporary musical theatre sub-culture by Playbill Magazine.

So for those reasons mentioned, I am requesting a re-review. Would welcome input and thoughts. Thank you!

Cb912 (talk) 16:26, 15 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Cb912. With regard to WP:COMPOSER criterion #2, the draft says the musical premiered at a university, "received a workshop staging by students" of another university for four days at a notable theater, and then received another staging at a non-notable theater. The notability guideline is open to interpretation, but I don't believe the musical meets the requirement that it "was performed in a notable theatre that had a reasonable run as such things are judged in their particular situation and time."
BroadwayWorld.com has been been discussed here, where it was deemed not reliable (or, depending on how one reads the consensus, reliable for non-controversial information, but not independent). The basic criticism is that it simply repackages press releases rather than doing original reporting. Contreras being frequently covered by BroadwayWorld.com does not indicate that he is notable, but that he has a publicist (or things he is involved with do).
You may ask at WP:RSN whether the six cited Playbill articles can be used to show that Contreras is notable. They appear to be press releases or works where Contreras talks about himself, rather than non-trivial independent coverage of Contreras, but wider input would be useful. --Worldbruce (talk) 05:29, 16 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@KGirlTrucker81: thanks for reviewing the draft I prepared... there were several footnotes in the draft... were they in the wrong format? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Boomshots (talkcontribs)

Sebdubois77 (talk) 19:48, 15 March 2019 (UTC) 1. For my article of creation Fatima Cody Stanford, I have ensured that it is not an "orphan"- several other pages link to it. May this warning be removed?[reply]

2. I am not linked to the subject of this article, but I have followed her work. Yet, the comment notes: "there is close connection with the subject". How do I work to get this removed since this is false?

Sebdubois77 (talk) 19:48, 15 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Sebdubois77. The orphan cleanup tag has been removed. In theory, you may remove the coi template because the editor who added it did not promptly start a discussion on the talk page about what is non-neutral in the article. But Rosguill is an experienced editor, so it would be wise to discuss their concern with them, since you presumably share a desire for the article to be neutral. --Worldbruce (talk) 05:48, 16 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I added the tag because it seemed suspicious that you primarily edited a single article in a flurry of activity and then made no other edits for a significant period of time. Your simple statement that you have no involvement with the subject will suffice as justification for removal. signed, Rosguill talk 06:30, 16 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Rosguill As a relatively new person, I am unsure how to remove the tag about neutrality per your response. May either you or Worldbruce assist?

Thanks for your time. I am trying to add to other pages to become more proficient and learn the ropes. Sebdubois77 (talk) 16:55, 18 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I would like to correct the article title's capitalization. It should be Ethical Naturism (capital "N"), rather than Ethical naturism. Thank you!

Request on 22:53:41, 15 March 2019 for assistance on AfC submission by OfficerMeowMeowFuzzyFace edit

I submitted an article for Salt Cathedral (band). I used language from the band's biography, available in multiple places, many of them event pages like the National Sawdust page that was flagged for copyright. This content isn't copyrighted. Please advise how to fix the issue so that the article can be approved.

OfficerMeowMeowFuzzyFace (talk) 22:53, 15 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi OfficerMeowMeowFuzzyFace. You may try using your "it isn't copyrighted" argument to get the admin who deleted Draft:Salt Cathedral (band), RHaworth, to restore it, but copyright is automatic, the use of a copyright notice isn't required, and the website in question doesn't say the text is in the public domain or licensed compatibly with the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0 Unported License (CC BY-SA 3.0).
More fundamentally, text that appears on an event page or the band's website has been written to publicize the band. Such text is almost never appropriate for Wikipedia, which may not be used to promote anything. Wikipedia doesn't much care what the band says about themselves, it is instead looking for arms-length sources like this one in Pitchfork. Find two more sources of at least that quality, and summarize what they say in your own words. --Worldbruce (talk) 14:57, 16 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not understanding why my page is read as a advertisement instead of a Biography page- as intended.
