I had submitted a lot of material on' Kalayana' purely on the basis of the Puranas. Here and there I might have added my observations and conclusions. I am surprised to know that such an information has been rejected attributing bad faith. Was it because I was leaving strong evidence that may lead to the conclusion that the Kalayavana who has bee described in the Puraanas was none other than Alexander the Great ? Please suggest how I can rectify the article and resubmit the same after necessary modifications TO wIKIPEDIA. Banda.krishna (talk) 03:11, 9 December 2014 (UTC) Banda Krishna satyanarayana[reply]

07:53:15, 9 December 2014 review of draft by Mikaamit

I want to add a new page without it being reviewed. Is it possible?

Mikaamit (talk) 07:53, 9 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

It is possible but it is generally not a good idea. The individual described in your draft User:Mikaamit/sandbox looks likely to be notable under Wikipedia's standard Wikipedia:ACADEMIC, so you may wish to go ahead and submit it by putting {{subst:submit}} at the top of that page. A review may take weeks, but there is no hurry presumably? Arthur goes shopping (talk) 13:13, 9 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

@Marybangbang:   Declined This subject is not notable. Articles about Bole have already been thrice deleted. At least try reading the past comments before wasting our time with promotional nonsense. Chris Troutman (talk) 15:18, 9 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hello

I created a draft page about James Dixon on 13th November. I realise there is a backlog - but I wondered if you could advise if this page is likely to be approved - and if so when I should expect it to go live. Please also let me know if there is anything I can do to improve the page.

Stuart 1 2 3 (talk) 12:42, 9 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Stuart. Drafts are not reviewed in strict order, so there is no way of saying for certain when a review will happen. One could speculate that, having awaited review for nearly a month, it will hopefully happen fairly soon.
With regard to its chances of being accepted, I am not certain. As I understand it, Dixon's claims to notability are essentially his work for a local council, where he was Chairman and also served for a very long period in other senior roles, a primary school being named after him, and mentions of him in local newspapers. This may or may not be enough to establish his notability by Wikipedia's standards... it is rather borderline. Any additional reliable sources that you can provide would help.
It may be worth formatting the two Beckenham Journal mentions as references so that they appear in the References section... they do not need to be available online in order to do so. A reviewer might otherwise not notice that they are valid sources for supporting Dixon's notability. Arthur goes shopping (talk) 13:07, 9 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
@Stuart 1 2 3:   Declined A person who might be well-known locally is not necessarily considered notable on Wikipedia. Beyond that, this entry needs to have more independent and reliable sources to verify both the facts and your assertion of notability. Chris Troutman (talk) 14:37, 9 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, how does one add a picture to a page? I can't see any advice on how to achieve that. Thank you. Lilyb12 (talk) 18:31, 9 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

@Lilyb12:   Declined Your account is still too new to upload images. Wikipedia:Images gives the instructions. At this point you need to worry about your draft. I don't think the subject is notable so discussion about images is irrelevant. Chris Troutman (talk) 01:50, 10 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
