A few days ago, the submission was declined by Zach Vega (talk · contribs) because "subject appears to be a non-notable musical performer or work". However, as Shlohmo has been interviewed by Complex (here), The Fader (here), and The Village Voice (here) and also has his recordings reviewed by CMJ (here), Consequence of Sound (here), Pitchfork Media (here), and XLR8R (here), I think the subject of the submission meets both WP:MUSICBIO criterion #1 and WP:GNG. Can someone please take a second look? 114.164.6.218 (talk) 02:04, 26 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I am trying to create a wiki page for a prominent architectural historian, based on the CV that he always uses. Part of it has been published on Princeton University's website, so the language is the same. but as he wrote it himself, it is not copyright infringement or copying. Can you please advise me on the best way to proceed, other than changing the language? Genevievehendricks (talk) 13:11, 26 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Genevieve. I've removed the text in your article and left a working stub. We cannot host copyright material anywhere on Wikipedia unless it has been formally released under a free license. Your article was a direct copy of this bio from MOMA. There is a procedure for obtaining the permission from the copyright holder and then verifying this with Wikipedia. See Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for the guide. However, it's a quite complicated process, and on top of that, such material almost invariably needs to be heavily edited for encyclopedic style and neutral tone. I suggest you simply re-write the article in your own words. You also need to provide inline citations to sources independent of the subject which both verify the content and attest to his notability. This is a very distinguished academic. You should have no trouble finding sources. I suggest you use Andrew Ladis as a model. Best wishes, Voceditenore (talk) 17:57, 26 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Update As this is such a notable subject, I went ahead and re-wrote the article myself, added references etc. and moved it into article space. You will find it at Jean-Louis Cohen. I've also left a note to this effect on Genevievehendricks's talk page. Voceditenore (talk) 06:39, 28 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

<Article copy removed> Please do not paste articles here. Do you have a question we can help you with? Voceditenore (talk) 17:33, 26 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, what can I do to tis article to get it published? Ronbyb (talk) 15:33, 26 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Read WP:NCORP and WP:GNG, and then ask yourself if you think you can find enough independent reliable sources to show that this organisation actually deserves a page in an encyclopedia? If the answer is no, I'd stop now. Bellerophon talk to me 12:52, 27 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

It was a long time ago that you did, but you declined my "Fake lottery ticket" article. Why? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.96.122.110 (talk) 22:31, 26 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Because Wikipedia is not the place for dictionary definitions or trivia. Bellerophon talk to me 13:02, 27 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
