Template:Aviation accidents and incidents in 2023 edit

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more templates or modules. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on the appropriate discussion page (such as the template's talk page or in a deletion review).

The result of the discussion was no consensus. Plastikspork ―Œ(talk) 01:01, 17 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Propose merging Template:Aviation accidents and incidents in 2023 with Template:2023 high-altitude object incidents.
The template Template:2023 high-altitude object incidents is about (only 5) incidents of high-altitude objects (balloons). Flying balloons=aviation. So they can be included in the Template:Aviation accidents and incidents in 2023; as is already the case of 2023 Chinese balloon incident. (Next to that, the 5 high-altitude objects pages are in Category:21st-century aircraft shootdown incidents a sub-category of Category:21st-century aviation accidents and incidents. So they are within the category aviation accidents and incidents) 82.174.61.58 (talk) 09:28, 9 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

  • Oppose. I would support including all these incidents apart from the last two, which were mere sightings that did not result in a shootdown. Jay D. Easy (t) 23:37, 13 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose per Jay D. Easy. --WikiCleanerMan (talk) 00:35, 14 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Single-article content, broken table. I have preemptively merged it into SC Rapperswil-Jona Lakers, slightly out of process. – Jonesey95 (talk) 02:03, 9 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Jonesey95, can you explain to me what I did wrong? I based myself on the other templates created for the other teams in the Swiss ice hockey championship. You can find them in the category: Category:National League A roster templates. Thank you in advance for indicating to me a correct procedure that I will apply to all roster. Gotch87 (talk) 02:56, 9 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
You didn't do anything bad; copying existing ways of doing things is usually a good practice here on Wikipedia. I noticed this one because it came up on an error list of broken tables, and then I noticed that it was used in only one article. The other templates in that category should probably be nominated for deletion as well. Template pages should generally not be used to store normal article content, per Wikipedia:Template namespace#Guidelines. Template pages that are used in a single article and that do not use any template parameters tend to be copied into the corresponding articles and then deleted. – Jonesey95 (talk) 03:32, 9 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, so I'm going to do that, copy the contents and then you can make the deletions. Thank you so much. Gotch87 (talk) 06:57, 9 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. If you do that, be sure to exclude the part of the template in the <noinclude>...</noinclude> tags, and also do not copy the first "navbar" line. – Jonesey95 (talk) 17:24, 9 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
