This template would be highly disruptive if transcluded across every article with a large number of images, adding noise to the top of very many articles. The suggestion that people with slow internet connections shouldn't read certain articles is bizarre; Wikipedia is supposed to be accessible to all. It is also useless in that anyone who can see it is already loading the large number of images so it is too late for them to turn back anyway.

Users who do struggle from slow internet connections may limit the size of thumbnails in their preferences. User:GKFXtalk 21:43, 27 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

    • Addit to JsfasdF252 (due to edit conflict) - this template seems to be serving as a warning / disclaimer, so I don't think it should be merged as the purpose appears quite different to {{Too many photos}} which is an article improvement-type tag. --Tom (LT) (talk) 23:02, 27 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Comment What about the mobile version of Wikipedia? I think it only loads images as the reader scrolls through the page instead of loading them all at once? JsfasdF252 (talk) 17:41, 28 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Convert into a cleanup message like {{Very long}}, that suggests the page be split apart into smaller pages with fewer images. (which would also reduce computational complexity, which can also be an issue on this kind of page, that ends up breaking templates, etc ) -- 65.92.246.246 (talk) 04:56, 29 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete per nom. I oppose conversion to a maintenance tag unless every existing instance is checked/removed, because it's very different to say that a page has many images and to say that it has many images and ought to have fewer. {{u|Sdkb}} talk 00:45, 1 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
