Slow jam edit

Are there any other songs that are considered as "slow jams"? Slow Down by Bobby Valentino or Breakdown by Mariah Carey could be good examples. -iaNLOPEZ1115 · TaLKBaCK · Vandalize it 02:20, 14 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Take a look at this, this, this and this to see if their definitions are what you had in mind. --Gwguffey (talk) 05:31, 14 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not familiar with most of the songs listed on the sites that you had mentioned. However, I know some songs from there, like Freak Me by Silk, and All My Life by K-Ci and JoJo. Still, a big thank you to User:Gwguffey for the info. -iaNLOPEZ1115 · TaLKBaCK · Vandalize it 09:58, 14 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Ghost In The Shell edit

I am interested in watching the Ghost in the Shell movies and tv series.

I believe there are a few different movies and series.

Can you please outline the movies and tv series in order in which they have been released? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Mrbenkane (talkcontribs) 05:52, 14 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This seems to be covered pretty well at Ghost in the Shell. Algebraist 10:14, 14 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

A question about Scooby-Doo and the Monster of Mexico... edit

In the cartoon movie Scooby-Doo and the Monster of Mexico, who is the female character who wore a yellow shirt and green pants? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Sirdrink13309622 (talkcontribs) 20:31, 14 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

We have an article on that movie: Scooby-Doo and the Monster of Mexico. Read through the plot and if the character you mention is important enough, she'll be referred to. Zain Ebrahim (talk) 07:40, 15 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Inspector Morse edit

Morse revealed his first name (Endeavour) in one of the books in the form of a crossword clue. What was the clue he used? Escape Artist Swyer Talk to me Articles touched by my noodly appendage 20:54, 14 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

According to IMDb [1], it was in the form of an anagram, Around Eve. Somno (talk) 01:36, 15 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Is true that this film will use the "traditional" gun barrel opening? David Pro (talk) 21:50, 14 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

According to producer Michael G. Wilson, it very well might. But then again, it might not; that's hardly a solid promise. I guess we'll have to wait and see. -- Captain Disdain (talk) 00:06, 15 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
More importantly, what the hell is a "quantum of solace"? Adam Bishop (talk) 12:56, 15 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Quantum means a very small amount and solace means consolation. The film picks up from Casino Royale with Bond going after the man that controlled vesper and caused her death. The small consolation (Quantum of Solace) that Bond will get from killing him won't make up for Vesper being dead. - X201 (talk) 14:58, 15 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
This is presumably the meaning 'a small discrete amount of something' (quantum 5d at the OED). Algebraist 13:12, 15 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Also, if the traditional gun barrel opening comes back, will they use the gun barrel image from the first films, or the one from Casino Royale? David Pro (talk) 18:54, 15 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Honestly, there's no way to know yet. The film won't be released until October (or November, depending on where you live), and it's possible that the decision hasn't even been made yet. I don't believe any information about this has been made available to the public. (Personally, I find it hard to believe that they would use the gun barrel image from the previous films, but who knows?) -- Captain Disdain (talk) 19:23, 15 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I think that Craig likely will film the sequence when the production return to the UK. David Pro (talk) 21:12, 20 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
The movie takes it's title from one of Ian Fleming's Bond short stories - in this case a particularly strange one in which all Bond does is listen to a story told by a diplomat. The story he listens to is the main plot, and is about a woman who treats her husband with extreme contempt until his docile and forgiving nature is broken, at which point (according to the storyteller) their marriage lacks the "quantum of solace" - the tiniest little spark of caring for each other that might allow the marriage to be rebuilt.
