Another cricket centuries list, from perhaps one of the most underrated cricketers currently plying his trade on the international circuit. This one follows the format of those that have come before it, but as usual I expect a few things will crop up! Look forward to your comments and suggestions.   • "the greatest cricketer ever" - one source says this, so I'm not entirely convinced. Although it's factually accurate, it's just POV, albeit of a single published journalist... you know what I mean?
  • I know exactly what you mean: I deliberated long and hard over whether to put this in. I'll probably take it out, but for the moment I will leave it there to consider how to rephrase the opening. Harrias talk 22:00, 17 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • "best all-rounders of all time" unfortunate repeat of "all..." reads a little awkwardly for me.
  • "a run he continued in his ..." I think he "extended" the run...
  • "Kallis reached his 22nd century during the 2004–05 tour of the West Indies, and passed Gary Kirsten as South Africa's leading run-scorer in Test cricket." I think the facts are the wrong way round. Becoming top SA scorer is much more relevant than it being his 22nd century.
  • You have "Sir Donald Bradman" and also "Don Bradman" - perhaps the second could just be "Bradman"?
  • You link both not out and unbeaten to the same thing. Perhaps, for the sake of non-experts, stick to the same phrasing?
  • I linked them both so that I could use them both; I didn't like to repeat the one phrase twice. Can change it, but will wait for further opinion unless you feel strongly about this. Harrias talk 22:00, 17 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • "a run-a-ball" not sure this should be hyphenated. I've never seen it written that way. Perhaps "one run per delivery" or something for accessibility to non-experts?
  • "behind only the 21 scored" no need for "only".
  • Please note the discussion over the accessibility of the "suit symbols", e.g. the spade symbol, here. Hopefully we can replace the existing symbols with those that can be interpreted by screen readers in due course.
  • In the table, is "Date" the date of the start of the match or the start of the innings or something else?
  • Maybe (just maybe) consider a "South African cricket..." category...

Just noticed that we never point out that a century has to be 100 runs in a single innings. Given he scored two centuries in one match, worth doing.
Surely we have a link for "strike-rate" for the uninitiated?
Not out is linked three times in the lede. Any reason why?
Is there a reason not to give the strike rate for the test matches?
There is, and it's rather assumptive to be fair. Test cricket is not about how quickly a player scores, so strike rate is rarely, if ever, even mentioned in a Test cricket scenario. I accept it's cricket-centric, a little like some of those many baseball stats we Brits find utterly inaccessible! Finding a ref to say what I've just said may be difficult though...   • Thanks for your comments: I have expanded the definition of century to include "in a single innings", and have linked strike-rate (I hadn't got it in before as I'd linked to strike-rate from "runs per hundred balls" just beforehand). Have unlinked not out in one place in the lead, think the other occasions are suitably linked. And I refer to TRMs comment regarding strike-rate in Test matches: it's not the most relevant statistic.
