Comments –

  • In the first paragraph, I see a lot of repetitions of "draft" and such. "A Tar Heel has been drafted first overall in the draft two times in the history of the draft" is the most glaring example, but there are others.

*Statement in the lead can become WP:DATED, e.g. "most recent", the draft stats quoted. Use {{As of}} of equivalent text.
  • The table should be made sortable.
  • The ref to the North Carolina media guide should list the relevant page numbers.

  • Instead of "As of 28 June 2012", it would be more relevant to date the stats by which draft year was included, e.g. "though the 2012 draft".—Bagumba (talk) 09:04, 1 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • There are other stats listed before the "as of" that dont mention when the numbers were taken, e.g. the "first overall" picks, teams that have never picked a Tar Hell, etc.—Bagumba (talk) 09:04, 1 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • How can I make it clearer? Because the article's title says NBA draft, as does the table title with the player selections?   • For 1948, the list includes players from the 1948 BAA Draft, before BAA was NBA. Note that the article name doesnt rule out that leagues that merged into the NBA are not included. WP:LISTNAME says, "The title is not expected to contain a complete description of the list's subject ... Instead, the detailed criteria for inclusion should be described in the lead, and a reasonably concise title should be chosen for the list." I'm not saying ABA has to be included, but it's unclear from the lead and the fact that BAA is included.—Bagumba (talk) 08:02, 6 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Aesthetically, putting "BAA" and "ABA" in the years column doesn't look elegant, and many of the ABA players are repeated from the NBA draft. Perhaps the page should have a second list for other drafts like the BAA/ABA, and this second list can have a new column next to year that lists the league i.e. BAA or ABA.—Bagumba (talk) 06:19, 21 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Comments quick run through...
  • Lead seems a little muddled, your second sentence talks about a guy who was drafted twice, but we have to wait until para 2 before you even explain what the draft is...
  • Link franchise the first time.
  • "the Basketball Association of America (BAA). The Basketball Association of America " if you abbreviate, use the abbreviation.
  • "which has happened on two occasions" -> "which has happened twice".
  • " is five, in 1980. Five Tar Heels have" reads really poorly...
  • "was drafted 1st overall" first.
  • "Marvin Williams was drafted 2nd overall " second. For these prose descriptions, where below 20th or so, i.e. one word, write it in prose.
  • Ref titles with year ranges should comply with WP:DASH.
