The idea for this society was conceived from two predecessors: Imperial Wikipedia Society and Michigan Wikipedians, and is related to the Campus Ambassador project. The idea was first discussed in the 12th Cambridge meetup.

We put up a stall at the annual Cambridge University fresher's fair. See wmuk:Microgrants/Cambridge University Wikipedia Society.

28 October 2012

CUWPS joined the Wikimedians in Cambridge at the 16th Cambridge Wikimedia meetup.

25 November 2012

Wikipedia Society gathering and editing workshop at Cripps Court, Magdalene College.

March 2013

3rd: CUWPS joins the 17th Cambridge Wikimedia meetup.
6th: Andrew Gray delivers a "Dissecting Wikipedia" seminar at CRASSH, Cambridge University.

May 2013

18th: CUWPS joins the 18th Cambridge Wikimedia meetup.
