The WikiWorld cartoon series is no longer in production, with the last cartoon dating from June 2008. |
Welcome to WikiProject WikiWorld, a collaboration area and group of editors dedicated to improving visibility of the "WikiWorld" cartoon series on Wikipedia.
(For more information on WikiProjects, please see Wikipedia:WikiProject and the Guide to WikiProjects).
- Goals
Greg Williams is a designer and illustrator for The Tampa Tribune in Tampa, Florida. In cooperation with the Wikimedia Foundation, he is producing comic strips based on various articles and releasing them under the Creative Commons Attribution ShareAlike 2.5 License for use on Wikipedia. This WikiProject is intended to coordinate the process of organising the comics.
- Scope
The WikiWorld comic summarizes and highlights some of the fascinating but little-known articles in Wikipedia's vast archives. This ongoing series of comics will present visual interpretations on a wide range of topics: obscure concepts and offbeat moments in history and culture, unexpected personality profiles and unlikely slices of everyday life - as well as "mainstream" subjects with humorous potential.

edit- {{WikiWorld}} — for use on the talk pages of Wikipedia articles that have been excerpted in "WikiWorld"; see Template:WikiWorld for how to use the template.
- {{WikiWorldImage}} — Commons template for use on images, adds standard explanatory text and optional link to en:wp article that uses the image (typically this is used by Greg when he uploads, but if Greg forgets anyone else could add it).
