Speedy deletion nomination of File:Katy-perry-7-1.jpg
editA tag has been placed on File:Katy-perry-7-1.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused redundant copy (all pixels the same or scaled down) of an image in the same file format, which is on Wikipedia (not on Commons), and all inward links have been updated.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Speedy deletion contested: Breathe on Me
editHello Xwomanizerx. I am just letting you know that I contested the speedy deletion of Breathe on Me, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: criterion A9 requires that no article exists regarding the author of the recording; Britney Spears has her own article, so the criterion does not apply. Thank you. Salvio Let's talk 'bout it! 20:44, 5 August 2010 (UTC)

editYou currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Britney Spears. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24-hour period. Additionally, users who perform several reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. When in dispute with another editor you should first try to discuss controversial changes to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. Should that prove unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection. If the edit warring continues, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Eeekster (talk) 02:24, 4 September 2010 (UTC)

Anticipating
editLook, I don't mean any harm but I don't see why people don't consider this song a single. Correction, why Americans don't, because many fans from France and Brazil have said it was released. It has a cd single that says it's the new single on it! In that case her songs "Toxic", "Stronger", "Everytime", and others I'm sure are just promos because they have those promo cds as well. They're on ebay and general cd websites. "Anticipating" has a video just as much as the rest. So it's just a performance big difference, like many artist don't do that! I've seen the video, not on youtube but a link on Wikipedia, on the BRITNEY album page in another languague use to have a link to it. It began with an MTV commercial logo and then the video started with the side credits and it ended with them as well and another MTV logo came on. People are too egotistic to accept that they're not the all knowing Britney fan. That's the only reason why people don't see it as a single when it's obviously is. If her website said so and that doesn't prove it, well I guess we're gonna have to have her company or Britney herself to confirm or deny it and every other songs that are in the same perdicament. If that doesn't prove it then I guess wikipedia will not be legitimate. Avram44 (talk) 17:07, 6 September 2010 (UTC)
re: lol even if you don't like her music
editActually I really like some of her music. Baby One More Time is a fantastic song, one of my all-time favorites; Oops!... I Did It Again is another great; and Womanizer though not in the same class as the other two is still a lot better than what other current 'artists' are coming up with. Despite what some others say, Britney is very, very talented. (and no, I am not stalking her :-)
It is unfortunate her personal life has been such a mess, but understandable considering the pressure and harrassment she has experienced since hitting the big time, primarily courtesy of the media and her fans. B. Fairbairn (talk) 09:51, 7 September 2010 (UTC)

File source and copyright licensing problem with File:Human Nature Britney Sticky & Sweet.jpg
editThanks for uploading File:Human Nature Britney Sticky & Sweet.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.
As well as adding the source, we also need to know the terms of the license that the copyright holder has published the file under, usually done by adding a licensing tag. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged files may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the file will be deleted 48 hours after 02:37, 15 September 2010 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Skier Dude (talk 02:37, 15 September 2010 (UTC)

Everytime
editNo, you are very wrong concerning Timberlake's second solo single titled, Cry Me A River. Jive Records released it on November 11, 2002 and the video itself on November 25, 2002[1][2]. By September 2002 public media was already insinuating from previews the song had to do with Spears. His album was released November 5[3]. Spears notably began recording for In The Zone in early December 2002, so sometime during the whole month she likely recorded the demo or a partially finished version. The copyright registered by Spears on April 26, 2003, lists the song as a 2002 creation and audio recording, also listing Spears(age 21, born 1981) and Annette Stamatelatos(Artani, age 26, born 1976) as writers. The song was previewed on MTV one month later on May 30, 2003. My addition was correct and I'm undoing your revert as you had little grounds to remove it.Carmaker1 (talk) 01:01, 19 October 2010 (UTC)
- So you insist on claiming I'm doing original research? Oh okay, we will certainly see about that then. I am very sure many users would like to question you on how you hold the belief that you have the right to do your own original research it legitimate, but when others do it you are quick to label it as such. Since when can you list 2003, when there is no source for that one either? For all you know Spears could have recorded that in 2000 and withheld it from release on her third studio album in 2001. Well, that isn't the case as she, "Artani", and Sigsworth worked on it 2002 of course. Media attention towards the Spears angle on Cry Me a River ran for a maximum total of 62-75 days in late 2002. So I would like for you to explain your hypocrisy and how Britney wouldn't have time, as if you revert that edit again WITHOUT DISCUSSION, I will bring in another party to resolve this. That is absolutely improper editing etiquette which you also exhibit towards others and should not be tolerated one iota.Carmaker1 (talk) 07:30, 21 October 2010 (UTC)
- Well I have been quite busy, so I have failed to respond in a timely manner. Yes, I think deleting the date altogether was a good idea, since we both cannot agree on concrete sources. It's quite obvious most artists could careless when they record a song during the production period of their albums, which makes it difficult for those of us on Wikipedia to have concrete evidence. I have found a secondary source that is publicly accessible. Under "Everytime I Try, and one other selection" It says the same thing my other "originally researched" source says: http://www.faqs.org/copyright/clairol-herbal-essences-is-proud-to-present-britney-spears-2/. The source being more publicly acessible makes equal sense as every registration listed for songs/singles and videos, matches the given creation years in other sources. I have no idea why you think my page is a mess, but I only left it that way as I don't want other users to think I'm hiding past mistakes, like former vandals tend to do. Good tip anyway. I am an extremely busy engineering student and have realized the recording year for one past single of Britney's is not worth the energy to bother with. I will not revisit this again.---Carmaker1 (talk) 08:02, 11 November 2010 (UTC)

Revert of creation of article on Britney Spears single Unusual You
editHi there. I see you have reverted my attempt to create an article on this single. To be honest, I am not really interested in this particular single, I just got asked to upload the cover for it and in order not to get it deleted I created the article and put it in. What exactly is your rationale for reverting my edit without giving a specific reason? Is there a consensus that this article should not be created which I do not know of? I would also ask you to not threaten new editors to an article just because they happen to differ from your opinion whether or not Unusual You meets WP:NSONGS or not. Janfrie1988 (talk) 23:06, 27 October 2010 (UTC)
- Thank you for clearing that up. As "Unusual You" was released but apparently did not chart in Australia, it probably doesn't deserve an article. Still, assume good faith with new editors to an article. I had no intent of being disruptive. I should have checked the history and talk page, though. :) Regards, Janfrie1988 (talk) 15:38, 28 October 2010 (UTC)

editCan it have its own page?
I have made several very detailed pages, not stubs, yet they have all been deleted, not by you, but by people always with the same argument. "Deleted a page that was deleted per discussion." Hi/Proposition
editHi there Womanizer. So I'm sure you noticed the GA backlog is really long, so I've come up with a deal I have already done with other editors to make our articles get reviewed. I would trade reviews with you, so you'll review something for me and I for you. Here's what I'd like. You currently have 3 articles needing reviews "My Prerogative Album" "My Prerogative Video" and "Me Against the Music". So my propostion is I would review these 3 for you, and you would review Butterfly and "One Sweet Day" for me. You'll get 3 because one of mine is an album, and the MP video is short. Does that sound fair? Are you up to it? Thanks.--CallMeNathan • Talk2Me 04:14, 4 November 2010 (UTC)
- Perfect thank you! I'll do the same. And please, just to make sure, judge it 100% fairly and don't pass it unless you feel its GA ready :D. Thank you I'll start your ASAP as well :)--CallMeNathan • Talk2Me 04:35, 4 November 2010 (UTC)
- Yup, some people tend to get too political and think of all these violating terms lol, even though I have successfully done it before :)--CallMeNathan • Talk2Me 04:38, 4 November 2010 (UTC)
- "Me Against the Music" is done :) and I fixed Butterfly for you and left 1 comment on one of the changes.--CallMeNathan • Talk2Me 15:54, 4 November 2010 (UTC)

- Circus for All I Want for Christmas Is You? :)--CallMeNathan • Talk2Me 04:18, 11 November 2010 (UTC)
- Perfect. Yup I did as you asked, both made perfect sense. Also, can you do me a small favor? I'm having trouble nominating this page for deletion, maybe you can do it for me? "Underneath the Stars" is the name. My reason is as follows. "Its sourced by fan sites and no reliable sources. It has not charted on any major chart (the R&B chart has no source) and does not even have a music video. The song was barely ever performed live and has absolutely no information of in." I think thats good. Whether you can or can't, thank you :)--CallMeNathan • Talk2Me 04:59, 11 November 2010 (UTC)
- Perfect. Thank you and good luck! I will do yours tomorrow as well :)--CallMeNathan • Talk2Me 06:32, 11 November 2010 (UTC)

- I see what your saying, but what helps me get by is that she can. Check this out. Its not that Katy doesn't have a good voice, its that she doesn't have a good technique. She loses herself in the music, which is why some singers like Celine Dion lower the key of the song while performing live. However, if you hear katy in the beginning of her performances, where she belts a bit acapella, she actually has a very nice and husky voice. Then the music comes on and she loses key and etc.--CallMeNathan • Talk2Me 06:05, 30 November 2010 (UTC)

editI've used up my revert allowance for the day, and, while his edits are garbage, they aren't vandalism. Any clue as to who this is? Any editor that you've had problems with before that could be teasing you by adopting a similar user name?—Kww(talk) 21:41, 13 December 2010 (UTC)
- Careful with reversions yourself. I'd hate to see you cross the line and get blocked yourself. Remember, unless it's reverting blatant vandalism, no more than 3 on the same article in any 24 hour period.—Kww(talk) 15:08, 14 December 2010 (UTC)

Me Against the musiccccc
editHey, one suggestion. Since the tracklisting of the article is unsourced, before someone challenges its removal add the music release notes for it. Check the "4 Minutes" article to understand how to add the references. All you have to do is find the catalogue nos for the releases from Discogs. — Legolas (talk2me) 04:50, 20 December 2010 (UTC)
- You added the wrong catalogue nos in the article. They are all same. — Legolas (talk2me) 15:55, 23 December 2010 (UTC)
Man! I'm confused!
editHi Xwomanizerx! I saw Someday I Will Understand, but I'm confused! Who nominated and who reviewed? Maybe you nominated. Right? Okay. Next, lol that guy just copied all of my comments on DLMBTLTK and pasted it to Someday. He even changed my name to his on the signature. Lol. I don't think "Don't let Me" will pass. He's not even responded on the GA page, there are some websites like "fanpop", which are not reliable. Also, the sample for Someday is too long. We are to use samples less than 10% of the song, remember? Novice7 | Talk 07:27, 21 December 2010 (UTC)
- It can be reduced. Trim to 22 seconds that you feel is important. If you tell me the duration of the song (from where you want the sample to start), I'll upload new file. Also, yes DLMBTLTK looks awful. I knew he was new to this, so I didn't want him to get hurt. It's better if you check out. Like I said, "Fanpop", reference in the lead, U93.com? And, discogs too.. As I said, its better if you help him out. I've voted at the deletion discussion. Novice7 | Talk 07:38, 21 December 2010 (UTC)
- OK. Also, you might wanna revert the sample of Toxic to the first version. He's uploaded a new version which exceeds the WP:SAMPLE limit. Also, I may fail DLMBTLTK. It's not coming together properly. Novice7 | Talk 07:57, 21 December 2010 (UTC)
- Check the new sample. Is it okay? Novice7 | Talk 08:08, 21 December 2010 (UTC)
- Oh. Sorry for a later reply. The Sample for DLMBTLTK is good, proper length and quality. Novice7 | Talk 10:21, 21 December 2010 (UTC)

- Hello again! Reading through all the comments on AfD, would you be offended if I point out there are no sources? Novice7 | Talk 16:18, 21 December 2010 (UTC)
- Thank you. Also, I'm failing "Don't Let Me". Man, I complimented the Credits and next thing I see is, he has removed them! The article can get better. I hope he does not get hurt. Novice7 | Talk 16:28, 21 December 2010 (UTC)
