Your account has been blocked indefinitely from editing because of the following problems: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business or other organisation or group or a web site, which is against the username policy.

You may request a change of name and unblock if you intend to make useful contributions other than promoting your business or organization. To do this, first search Special:CentralAuth for available usernames that comply with the username policy. Once you have found an acceptable username, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked. In your reasons, you must:

  • Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure requirement.
  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
Appeals: If, after reviewing the guide to appealing blocks you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal it by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the page.

Request reason:

I was misinformed about the username policy, I have come on to wikipedia after noticing an article 'League Tag' references a project I was personally involved in in the early 2000s which has since evolved into the concept known as X-League, it is not a commercial, I have tried to update information to make it more reflective of the current situation only to be banned indefinitely.

Decline reason:

Now that you know you won't be unblocked to write about X-League, what do you plan to write about instead? Yamla (talk) 11:56, 22 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

I have come on to wikipedia after noticing an article 'League Tag' references a project I was personally involved in in the early 2000s which has since evolved into the concept known as X-League, it is not a commercial, it is a variant accept by the national governing body of a sport, the links provided were to the national governing body of Rugby League, I have tried to update information to make it more reflective of the current situation only to be banned indefinitely. the response I recieved was -

Now that you know you won't be unblocked to write about X-League, what do you plan to write about instead? Yamla (talk) 11:56, 22 August 2020 (UTC) Why would I not be able to write about X-League, it is the successor to 'League Tag' an article that is already published and linked? why is the League Tag article allowed and not allowed to be updated? it seems a moderators lack of knowledge of the variants of Rugby should not diminish users ability to learn about them. However if I am reading the rules right I cannot contribute because I was personally involved however if I told someone about it and they published the information they would be allowed as they were not personally involved? - seems ridiculous but I can do that if needs be.Reply
