Just letting anyone who comes across this know that on the WWE Championship article page the picture needs to be changed to show both the WWE Title and World Heavyweight Title. Discussions can be seen on the talk page. If you can do this it would be appreciated as I can't as my ban doesn't end until tomorrow.   Done

The Celtic A.F.C.

edit

Hello Wyatt151. Do you have any evidence that this football club is normally referred to as "Celtic A.F.C."? I checked their website and did not find anything to suggest they use that name. Also, if you go to a newspaper website such as The Guardian and do a search you probably won't find anything. Unless you have some actual data I suggest that you revert your move and go back to the former name, Celtic F.C. Thanks, EdJohnston (talk) 22:46, 16 May 2014 (UTC)Reply

Name

edit

Hi EdJohnston, yes I do have confirmation of the clubs name on the official HMRC website [1] (http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/manuals/bimmanual/bim45013.htm) . Thank you for you're time. Wyatt 151 (talk)

Where did you get the "AFC" bit from? The club's logo doesn't make any reference to an "Association Football Club", just a "Football Club". – PeeJay 01:26, 17 May 2014 (UTC)Reply

EdJohnston If you actually looked at the link I gave you you would see it says it on the official HMRC site. Wyatt 151 (talk) 19:18, 17 May 2014 (UTC)Reply

That was the name of the corporation that operates Celtic FC in 1983. The corporate name was changed to "Celtic plc" in 1995, when the company was floated on the stock exchange. Jmorrison230582 (talk) 19:35, 17 May 2014 (UTC)Reply
The HMRC manual refers to a company called "Celtic Football and Athletic Co Ltd". How do you turn that into "The Celtic A.F.C."? 81.14.46.25 (talk) 20:02, 17 May 2014 (UTC)Reply

This dispute is now resolved. Wyatt 151 (talk) 21:58, 17 May 2014 (UTC)Reply

Celtic F.C. move

edit

Could you please revert your move on Celtic F.C. per WP:COMMONNAME. The club is known around the world as Celtic F.C. Thanks, JMHamo (talk) 19:23, 17 May 2014 (UTC)Reply

Oh so Wikipedia doesn't like facts then? Wyatt 151 (talk) 19:31, 17 May 2014 (UTC)Reply

Please read WP:COMMONNAME. Thanks, JMHamo (talk) 19:37, 17 May 2014 (UTC)Reply

JMHamo OK I understand now, sorry for the dispute I thought it was only official names. I won't be moving the page anymore. Thank you. Wyatt 151 (talk) 21:51, 17 May 2014 (UTC)Reply

Why did you just move "Television licensing in the United Kingdom"?

edit

Clearly somebody else is using your account. You can take care of that problem, I guess... Longbyte1 (talk) 04:25, 1 June 2014 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, articles should not be moved without good reason. They need to have a name that is both accurate and intuitive. Wikipedia has some guidelines in place to help with this. Generally, a page should only be moved to a new title if the current name doesn't follow these guidelines. Also, if a page move is being discussed, consensus needs to be reached before anybody moves the page. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you.
