Hello. I have looked at the guidelines on editing talk pages, as you suggested. These make it clear that it is perfectly OK to edit them for purposes of "Removing prohibited material". You may want to check out the guidelines on external links: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:ELNEVER#Restrictions_on_linking These make it clear that links to webpages that contain illegally republished copyright material are not permitted, and it says that there are no exceptions to this rule. My edit was therefore not "vandalism", as you characterised it; rather, it was following the rules that Wikipedia lays down, and I made that clear in my Edit Summary when I made the change, even providing the link to the relevant page, which I have now repeated above. As the Wikipedia page says, "Linking to a page that illegally distributes someone else's work sheds a bad light on Wikipedia and its editors." The Diggerman Cometh (talk) 16:36, 6 May 2009 (UTC)
Thanks for taking a look. Since you're a beginner here, you still haven't recognized the different standards applicable to a main page and a talk page, apparently. Additionally, there's another open issue, which is that you make a false claim that the link I had put to http://abundancefarm.com/downloads/free-wwoof-volunteer-directory.html is to illegal material, which it is not. If you believe the material is illegal, you could go through the legal process for getting it removed from the internet. However, simply your claim in wikipedia comments that it is illegal does not make it so. Why are you so unwilling to have a conversation from a neutral point of view?
