  • You don't need to read anything - anybody can edit; just go to an article and edit it. Be Bold, but please don't put silly stuff in - it will be removed very quickly, and will annoy people.
  • Ask for help. Talk to us live, or edit this page, put {{helpme}} and describe what help you need. Someone will reply very quickly - usually within a few minutes.
  • Edit existing articles, before you make your own. Look at some subjects that you know about, and see if you can make them a bit better. For example, Wikipedia:Cleanup#2009.
  • When you're ready, read about Your first article. It should be about something well-known, and it will need references.

Good luck with editing; please drop me a line some time on my own talk page.

There's lots of information below. Once again, welcome to the fantastic world of Wikipedia!

New article edit

Hello. Thank you for contributing the article Anna Morgan to Wikipedia. I have a couple of suggestions that I hope will help you. First, you might want to read Wikipedia:Manual of Style (biographies) for help in formatting the article. Second, you put references at the end of your article, but the preferred style on Wikipedia is to insert the references as footnotes directly in the text of the article where they are used. You can see Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners for help on this. Third, you did not add your article to any categories; see Wikipedia:Categories for information. Finally, your article was not actually visible to any readers because you did not remove the #REDIRECT directive from the first line, but I've fixed this for you and also corrected some typos. Good luck. --R'n'B (call me Russ) 09:49, 3 May 2011 (UTC)Reply
