Apology for warnings

edit

Sorry about that. The page creator is allowed to delete his own page. You should not have been given a warning. I flagged the page with {{db-g7}} which will request that an administrator delete them. At least one has been deleted. Thank you for your contributions! Jim1138 (talk) 23:14, 1 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

Hi

edit

You can't delete articles - only admins can. I've deleted that one you requested on my talkpage. If you want to request deletion, a safe way is to put {{db-G7}} (curly brackets, noy curved ones) at the top. Blanking is supposed to tell us too, but some editors just think it's vandalism (because they don't look closely at the history page...). Both these only work if you are the only real contributor to the page - we don't count tagging, correcting typos or adding categories. It's actual content that counts. If you get in a mess, you can get help by asking on a talkpage, or by putting {{helpme}} at the bottom of your talkpage (or the talk page of an article, and then adding your question. This, like the db thing, puts you onto a list that people keep an eye on. Jim is right that you should not have been warned for blanking a page you created recently - please accept apologies from me too. At first, this place looks easy. It gets easier as you go on, and you shouldn't be put off by people being over keen, or by you making mistakes. We all do, including the admins. Everything can be put right again, though. Enjoy your editing. Peridon (talk) 18:27, 2 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of 1997 Tour of Faroes Islands

edit

The article 1997 Tour of Faroes Islands has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No indication why this local amateur race would be notable enough for an article.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
