Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button (  or  ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 06:46, 19 April 2015 (UTC)Reply

Hello!

edit

The only reason I listed Celine first, was because I was trying to put the names in alphabetical order. Going off of the show, Celine really should be third on the table. The issue was that it was unclear whether or not the first slot should be Gani's or Melissa's. No distinction was made.

Purely off of the show, the order in which the photos was given out was Melissa > Celine > Gani (skip to minute 36) but that listing would contradict the feedback they received, because Celine was clearly the worst of the three. It was my logic that if the names were alphabetically (C>G>M) listed (objectively, that is), there would be no need to guess the rank of the other two. I have no desire to get into a conflict with anyone. If everyone agrees to have the table like this: http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Asia%27s_Next_Top_Model_(cycle_3)&oldid=657195824 I see no reason to change it.

Notice that I'm also not the only editor making this change. Right this moment, another user made the same change: http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Asia%27s_Next_Top_Model_(cycle_3)&oldid=657197259 Several users in fact, seem to disagree on what the order should be: http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Asia%27s_Next_Top_Model_(cycle_3)&oldid=657113359

None of my edits on that page have been vandalism. I apologize if my logic seemed bizarre or biased, but I can assure you that it is never my intention to post inaccurate information. Also, I do have a legitimate account, I just don't edit with it all the time! :)

Edit: I've noticed now you were going off of the order at minute 35:30, correct? 71.239.172.110 (talk) 17:54, 19 April 2015 (UTC)Reply

Hi. I do understand what you're trying to say. However, yes, I was referring to the order in which their names were called to receive their photographs, NOT the order in which the photos were handed to them. I know that it is unclear, whether Gani or Melissa took the first slot. And you are right, it is clear that Celine was the worst of the three. But as I've said, purely based off the order in which they were called, the order should be Melissa > Gani > Celine. I also understand that for the likes of non-elimination rounds and double-eliminations, the names are put in alphabetical order. In that sense, it is fine because it is truly unclear of who was worse than the other (not that it even matters, since both are receiving the same verdict). But for episode 2 of cycle 3 specifically, their names were called in a particular order, which I think should be the way the call-out order is written.
Forgive me if I seemed harsh, I just presumed that you were one of those editors who alter information based off their own biased opinions. We are all aware of the many trolls trying to edit the content to make their favorites seem like the best. Also, I had a look at your talk page and there seems to be many similar occurrences and other negative feedback, so I just assumed the worst and I apologize for that. As for the call-out order, I think that it's best to leave it as they were called in the show, to avoid any confusion and conflict. I hope that clears up any misunderstanding. -Win- (talk)

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. You appear to be engaged in an edit war with one or more editors according to your reverts at Asia's Next Top Model (cycle 3). Although repeatedly reverting or undoing another editor's contributions may seem necessary to protect your preferred version of a page, on Wikipedia this is usually seen as obstructing the normal editing process, and often creates animosity between editors. Instead of edit warring, please discuss the situation with the editor(s) involved and try to reach a consensus on the talk page.

If editors continue to revert to their preferred version they are likely to lose editing privileges. This isn't done to punish an editor, but to prevent the disruption caused by edit warring. In particular, editors should be aware of the three-revert rule, which says that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Edit warring on Wikipedia is not acceptable in any amount, and violating the three-revert rule is very likely to lead to a loss of editing privileges. Thank you. Well, if any of you would actually bother to check and investigate, perhaps you would understand why. Watch the actual show's episodes and check the page to see if anything I have edited is incorrect or inaccurate. I only revert edits that are false, biased, useless, factually incorrect and so on. Since my request to get the page permanently semi-protected (obviously for the page's own good) was rejected, I do not see any other solutions to keeping the page free from vandalism. -Win (talk) 10:53, 21 April 2015 (UTC)Reply
