Why did you revert my friends edit? edit

Why did you revert my friends edit? I thought wikipadia was a place for collabs.

What? Please give more context, I don't know who your friend is, or what edits they made.

December 2018 edit

Why. Why did you have to edit my talk page about nine times and set off every alert, just to leave one, ONE message. learn to edit

TrumpSupporter777 (talk) 21:58, 1 December 2018 (UTC)Reply

Excuse me?

I did not edit your talk page NINE times, only three, to fix formatting mistakes on your talk page. If you don't want your alerts going off you can toggle your notification settings here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Preferences#mw-prefsection-echo

  • "learn to edit"

TLDR:

no u

Saying something like this is essentially telling someone to "grow up", which goes against the policies of wikipedia, in fact one of the Wikipedia:Five Pillars, the fundamentals of Wikipedia. Check out Wikipedia:5P3 and Wikipedia:Politeness, especially the "Avoid condescension" part of the page. You told me to "learn too edit", even though I have edited Wikipedia longer and much more in comparison to you, "TrumpSupporter777", which and...oh, you've made 13 edits, and only 2 of them were on non user and talk pages, which of one was immediately reverted and the other you only changed a few words for their synonyms (unnecessary edits). Before you try to flame someone, you should know how Wikipedia works, you obviously haven't heard of the Five Pillars and also, you should learn a bit more about meaningful editing, adding on to pages, reverting vandalism, correcting grammar, etc. What should I say?

Date format edit

Just a heads up that I had to partially revert your edits to the 2019 Christchurch mayoral election page. We use the dmy date format in New Zealand as shown on this page. Any questions please ask (here's good). Schwede66 00:24, 2 December 2018 (UTC)Reply

Ok, thanks. I didn't know that earlier

Draft edit

Hello could you please delete my draft: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Institution_Saint-Michel,_Solesmes I was just starting on wikipedia, that was a mistake. I do not wish for my draft to be further worked on. Thank you very much in advance. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 4HcxdV9x (talkcontribs) 06:48, 18 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

Hi, I've nominated it for speedy deletion.

A tag has been placed on Draft:Institution Saint-Michel, Solesmes requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

Article does not meet Wikipedia's standards, creator/editor has abandoned and wants it to be deleted

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, pages that meet certain criteria may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Warning users edit

Hi, WikiRay360! If you hadn't known already, you can warn users who have made unconstructive etc. edits with just a few clicks using Twinkle—go to their talk page, and move your cursor to the TW (just left to the Wikipedia search bar) to see a drop down list of all the semi-automated actions you can do using Twinkle, including Warn to warn/notify user, and Wel to welcome user (much more efficient/less time-consuming than manually adding a warning template). You may also want to familarise yourself with the other actions. Besides, it also creates an automatic edit summary relating to the type of warning/notice chosen!   Cheers JACKINTHEBOXTALK 09:21, 18 January 2019 (UTC)Reply
