My User page as example

edit

On my User page I was very careful to explain that I worked for dietary supplement companies as a consultant, but was doing no editing for my clients, nor did they know I was a Wikipedia editor. Even being as transparent as all that, I was challenged repeatedly on suspicion for promoting supplements by doing non-neutral edits. I was close to being blocked on suspicion. Over time, my credibility improved, as I was often deleting health claims based on inadequate referencing. Medicine/health has a high standard described at WP:MEDRS. Like I wrote - learning curve. David notMD Thank you! I will get there eventually. I at least now know what I was doing and what not to do. WikiJSPN (talk) 20:32, 28 August 2020 (UTC)JSPNReply

Signatures

edit

It's a trivial thing, but helpful to organization: when you sign a discussion page posting, the ~~~~ should be the last thing in your post – no need to add your name again since it's already part of the signature that is created by the tildes. Thanks.   —[AlanM1 (talk)]— 01:11, 29 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

Thanks! I promise I will learn.
