my name on here is offensive? i'm honestly confused. i understand removing business links but WKG is my handle everywhere. can you email me at (email removed) and tell me what i need to do?
Accept reason:
It's not offensive, so much, but it does give the appearance that this is the official account of a website or organization, as opposed to just your personal account. We get lots and lots of people who register a username for their company and then start posting advertising or other spammy content on behalf of that company - and they are promptly blocked as a result. Your case is similar, only in that it seemed that some organization named West Kentucky Genealogy was attempting to drive traffic to their website by posting here. Yes WKG is just me and me alone. I'm a collector of old photographs, instead locking my collection away i try to share them. I have several of cities and people that are not online anywhere, so i thought i'd post them here. I'm sorry i did show a link back to my page but at the time i didn't think it would be a problem. I'm just one person here.
- Not a problem. Looking back, I'm betting the offer to sell old photos is what tipped the scales toward a block - lots of companies do the same, expecting to drive traffic. I get that that wasn't your intent, but it looked bad. I'm going to leave the unblock notice, for now, and see if I can get the blocking admin to have another look.
