Notability of Station Sound

edit

The article Station Sound has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done because the article seemed to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, but it did not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the notability of the subject may be deleted at any time. If you can indicate why the subject is really notable, you are free to re-create the article, making sure to cite any verifiable sources.

Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and for specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for musicians, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. J Milburn (talk) 15:26, 14 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Pages should not be written to help promote bands- they should be written by someoine without a conflict of interest and should be written from the neutral point of view. Are you certain that the band meets our notability guidelines for bands and musicians? J Milburn (talk) 15:59, 14 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
The text of the article can be found here. It was you who wanted the text, wasn't it? The message wasn't awfully clear... J Milburn (talk) 19:10, 17 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

I will likely be taking this page to Miscellany for Deletion soon. I'm not sure what purpose there is in having this article under development in either article or user space. Wikipedia is not a webhost. --OnoremDil 15:09, 18 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Although the Serenity article is pretty bad, WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS is not a good argument for keeping a page around. Wikipedia isn't here to promote bands. There are blatant POV issues with your article, and it does not include any sources that would be considered acceptable for information that deals with living persons. --OnoremDil 16:28, 18 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
The deletion discussion can be found at Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/User:Welshceltic/Station Sound. --OnoremDil 13:00, 19 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. On many keyboards, the tilde is entered by holding the Shift key, and pressing the key with the tilde pictured. You may also click on the signature button   located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! - CobaltBlueTony™ talk 16:26, 18 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
