Pig War

edit

Hello, I'm Bark. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Pig War, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. --Bark (talk) 17:01, 10 October 2013 (UTC)Reply

If you have the source to cite, but need help using the right format, I would be happy to help. I have no problem with the content, but that article draws a lot of attention, just from its name. Best to play edits on it by the book.--Bark (talk) 16:52, 11 October 2013 (UTC)Reply

I was attempting to do a small tidy in my view of the "key players." In order to do it properly it would require a major edit and no doubt subsequent discussion on the meaning of "key players" I did not cite the source for the fact that Baynes was a rear admiral because the citation was about Baynes and not Hornby.Wasozed (talk) 18:43, 11 October 2013 (UTC)Reply

Problem with page requiring substantial changes

edit

Have been looking at a page https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clan_Mackie in which there are so mahny errors that simply editing is not a serious option. Principally the title refers to a Scottish family which for the most part used the spelling McKie or M'Kie. this is not acknowledged anywhere in the article. There are three references, none of which are still available to see how much has been used. There are no sources quoted.

I would dearly love to have the time to put all this right. Wasozed (talk) 12:10, 10 January 2018 (UTC)Reply
