Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, the username you have chosen (Vision capital admin) seems to imply that you are editing on behalf of a group, company or website.

There are two issues with this:

  1. It is possible that you have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, you must exercise great caution when editing on topics related to your organization or adding links to its website.
  2. Your account cannot represent a group of people. You may wish to create a new account with a username that represents only you. Alternatively, you may consider changing your username to avoid giving the impression that your personal account is being used for promotional purposes.

Regardless of whether you change your name or create a new account, you are not exempted from the guidelines concerning editing where you have a conflict of interest. For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you. • Regardless of your username change, please be aware of conflict of interest issues. Writing about yourself and/or your company is generally strongly discouraged. --Hammersoft (talk) 13:33, 26 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

Bmusician, Please let me know how I may improve this post. Yes, I work for Vision Capital, but I was very mindful to only represent the facts and NOT use any language that was self promoting. We are referenced in three separate pages on Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Private_equity_secondary_market, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DeltaRail_Group, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BrightHouse_(retailer). We also have a website that can be verified http://www.visioncapital.com/ and have been mentioned in several new articles online. I understand and am familiar with the rules and guidelines for submissions and I believe we have followed all accurately. I request your assistance in posting this page. I hope you agree that it will be benificial to the Wikipedia community to explain and reference from at least three separate Wikipedia posts by others. I look forward to your response. Thank you.

Letter to editor,

Would greatly appreciate further clarity on the reasoning behind the decline of Vision Capital's page for submission. I believe that we have followed the correct formatting, footnoting and provided reliable sources as defined by Wikipedia. Please advise on next steps.

Thank you! Vision capital admin (talk) 20:14, 16 May 2012 (UTC)Reply
