Hi Kylie,
I'm hoping you can assist me with this submission. My Client Lee Richards is a singer, songwriter, and musician. He is the original lead guitarist and songwriter for the band Godsmack, went on to form bands such as Powderburnt, Dropbox, Another Animal, and Richards Crane. ALL of these bands are mentioned on Wiki. He has also written / recorded and performed with other artists mentioned on Wiki. I have provided links to all of the bands Lee was in and is mentioned on these pages, however he is the only on in these bands without a Wiki page. Please explain what I need to do to correct this and get Lee's Wiki page published. please refer to the following links

Thank you,

Hi Virelkie, a few things to cover here.... Firstly as you have said they are your client please review Wikipedia:Conflict of interest and disclosure is mandatory (see section WP:COIPAYDISCLOSE). As for the article: all new articles on Wikipedia have to show the subject is notable (See WP:N) which in most cases requires significant coverage (WP:SIGCOV) in multiple independent (WP:INDY) reliable sources (WP:RS). Notability is not inherited so just being part of notable bands does not automatically mean they are notable. Members of bands that are only written about in content of the band are often not notable, but many are especially if they have been in multiple significant bands. Note that Discogs.com is not an independent reliable source as it is user-generated so does not help show notability (see WP:DISCOGS). So you'll need to find the sources to both show notability and to source the claims, and add them then resubmit. Regards KylieTastic (talk) 18:29, 7 October 2024 (UTC)Reply
